Abstract

This paper studies the determinants of Colombian manufactured exports to Ecuador, Venezuela, Mexico, Peru and the United States in the period 1998-2009. Results suggest that the common determinants of exports to these countries are the income of the importing country, export prices and wage costs. Furthermore, in some cases demand pressures, domestic prices of manufactures, input costs and domestic trend income also determine these exports.
