About the Journal

Transactions on Energy Systems and Engineering Applications (TESEA) publishes peer-reviewed articles reporting on research, development, and applications on energy systems covering all areas of engineering and applied mathematics. The journal editor will enforce standards and a review policy to ensure that papers of high technical quality are accepted. The journal is published by the Universidad Tecnológica de Bolívar.

In addition to original research articles, Transactions on Energy Systems and Engineering Applications also publishes focused review articles that examine the state of the art, identify emerging trends, and suggest future directions for developing fields.

Transactions on Energy Systems and Engineering Applications has implemented a continuous publication model. Therefore, as soon as an article is ready to be published, it will be immediately released online rather than waiting for other articles in the issue to be completed, resulting in faster access to the article.

Adhesion to International Declarations

Transactions on Energy Systems and Engineering Applications is committed to open access with good practice related to research, authorship, and scientific publishing, thus promoting compliance with the following statements at the various stages involved in the publication process:

Open Access

Transactions on Energy Systems and Engineering Applications is an open-access journal and adheres to the Budapest Declaration of Open Access Initiative; the Bethesda Statement on Open Access Publishing, the DOAJ statement of open access, and the Berlin Declaration on Open Access to Knowledge in the Sciences and Humanities. All articles are immediately available to read and reuse upon publication.

Research Integrity:

Transactions on Energy Systems and Engineering Applications adheres to the Singapore Declaration on Integrity in Research.

Publication and Publication Ethics:

Transactions on Energy Systems and Engineering Applications adheres to the principles and practices defined by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). The full Policies of Ethical and Scientific Integrity of the journal can be found here.

Authorship policies:

Transactions on Energy Systems and Engineering Applications adheres to the principles of authorship established by the Contributor Roles Taxonomy (CRediT). Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools do not meet the criteria for authorship as they cannot take responsibility for the submitted work. Our full policy on AI tools can be found here.

Repository policy

Authors may post the submitted version, the accepted version, or the published version of their article to their personal website, institutional repository, or a repository required by their funding agency without any restriction. Posting of preprints before or during consideration is also allowed.

Preservation of digital archives

Transactions on Energy Systems and Engineering Applications supports the CLOCKSS (Controlled Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) system as a permanent and secure archive for the journal. CLOCKSS is an open code program developed by the Library of Stanford University that enables libraries to preserve selected web-based magazines. It regularly searches registered journals to compile and file newly published content. Each file is continuously validated against records from other libraries, so any contents that may be damaged or lost can be restored using those records or the journal itself.

Additionally, as a preventive measure in the event of system failure or discontinuity of the publication, the institutional Library will preserve restricted copies of the documents to ensure their perpetuity over time.

Access and Publication Costs

In compliance with open access policies, Transactions on Energy Systems and Engineering Applications provides free access to all published articles and encourages the sharing and dissemination of texts at no cost to readers.

Transactions on Energy Systems and Engineering Applications does not consider costs for authors associated with the publication of manuscripts.
